This week I tried the Pina Colada flavored smoothie. I enjoyed this smoothie for the most part. There were little pieces of coconut all through out the smoothie, which I liked. You may not like that, some people enjoy their smoothies creamy and smooth but I enjoyed the little bits of coconut.
This smoothie is a little bit more complicated than last weeks smoothie. This one calls for coconuts, pineapple, milk, vanilla, honey and turbinado. Turbinado is like brown sugar except it has bigger crystals and it doesn't have any molasses in it like the brown sugar does. You could probably substitute it for brown sugar but that would be something you would want to try out. Now for the pineapple and the coconut you would probably want to try out the freezer section. Trying to open a coconut and a pineapple is just too much work for a smoothie if you ask me. But if you want it fresh and don't mind all the extra work more power to you. So throw some pineapple and coconut in the blender and add a little bit of vanilla, which you should be careful with. You can always add more of something but you cant take it back out. Then add the milk and honey. Blend well. And whah-la. Just add a little paper umbrella and your ready for a day by the pool.

Smoothie of the Week: Strawberry Kiwi Breeze

Hello fellow bloggers! Every week I'll be tasting a different smoothie and reviewing it here. I will also tell you some easy tips to try and make it in your very own kitchen, which if its your first time to make a smoothie should be exciting. Well let's get to it!
The smoothie I tried this week was called "Strawberry Kiwi Breeze". Which was delicious. It was blended really well and there weren't any chunks of fruit in it, which I absolutely hate.(It always clogs up the straw) It left a little of a sticky taste in your mouth that would make you want a glass of water but it wasn't that bad.
Now lets get down to making the smoothie. First off you need a blender, making a smoothie without one would be difficult if not impossible. You will also need ice, strawberries, kiwis, papaya, and some strawberry yogurt. If you want to make smoothies more healthy creamy yogurt is a great alternative to adding sugar. You basically mix these ingredients together and blend well. The great thing about smoothies is its hard to mess up, even if you do you taste it and see what it needs and add more of it. It's that simple.
